Mexican Juan Gabriel improves pneumonia and leaves hospital of Las Vegas

The Mexican singer Juan Gabriel left the hospital Friday Las Vegas (western United States) in which he was admitted on Monday of pneumonia, a spokesman for the artist. “His health improved considerably since treatment began on Monday”, the representative said in a statement.

”The popular Mexican singer, of 64 years old, was admitted to a medical center with fluid in the lungs and poor oxygen levels resulting from pneumonia, a day after performing in Las Vegas. Barenboim will open in May the works of his Arab-Israeli Music Academy

The Argentine-Israeli musician Daniel Barenboim opened on 6 May the works of the music academy for training young people in the Middle East, which will be installed in a former warehouse of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin.

The works will be presented by Barenboim and the Minister of Culture of the German Government, Michael Naumann, and sources of the foundation today.

Ian Anderson releases new album and points to the end of Jethro Tull

Tom Jones will headline the British Summer Festival in Hyde Park

The Welsh singer Tom Jones headlining the British summer festival which is held in July at London’s Hyde Park, the British media reported yesterday. Jones, a veteran of the music that has sold a hundred million records worldwide, will perform on July 13 in one of the most important festivals celebrated in the British capital during the summer.

Nyman dedicated a Symphony to the 96 dead of Hillsborough Stadium

The British composer Michael Nyman, who wrote the music for the film “The Piano”, composed a symphony in homage to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough Stadium disaster, which is the 25th anniversary.

Nyman hopes his symphony “Number 11″ is a “small but significant to help the families of the victims on the road to recovery contribution” when it opens a new investigation into the circumstances of the drama in that stadium North of England.
