Tony Bennett in duo with Lady Gaga
The famous American crooner Tony Bennett called for a duet Lady GaGa exceptional piece The Lady is a Tramp. This song is taken from the new album by Tony Bennett, Duets II, entitled to be released September 20.
Lady GaGa goes to the time of a jazz duet with Tony Bennett. The new queen of pop is part of the long list of artists invited by the crooner on his new album Duets II. Lady GaGa joins Sheryl Crow, Andrea Bocelli, Aretha Franklin and Norah Jones and raises her voice on the cover of The Lady is a Tramp, a jazz classic written in 1937 by Rodgers and Hart for the musical Babes in Arms. This collaboration with Tony Bennett to discover a new facet of the singer off the beaten track of electro-pop that made her fame, while her album Born This Way prances still leading in sales.
A posthumous single
If the song The Lady is a Tramp has all the ingredients to make a tube, is another song that was chosen as the official single to start the new album by Tony Bennett: Body & Soul which is nothing but the duo with the late crooner’s Amy Winehouse. Both artists had recorded this piece written by Edward Heyman in 1930 in the famous Abbey Road Studios in March. It is currently the only posthumous song of the diva who died suddenly on July 23.
