‘Thriller’ voted most influential video



The video for Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was voted most influential popvideo ever. Networking site MySpace allowed music fans to choose from twenty videos. “Here it Goes Again” by Ok Go finished in second place, Britney Spears “Baby One More Time” was third.

The twenty videos were selected by experts from the music industry. MySpace then feel more than a thousand music lovers to the test. The fourteen-minute “Thriller” was in support of over fifteen percent of respondents expect. The clip from 1983 was praised in particular because the boundary between music and film did fade.
