Susan Boyle in Guinness World Records book



Susan Boyle has three times found in the latest edition of the Guinness World Records book. The Scottish singer, who became famous thanks to her participation in talent show Britain’s Got Talent, broke three records with her debut album. This is the website of the BBC.

In Boyle’s 2009 debut album, titled I Dreamed A Dream, is the fastest selling album ever by a female artist from the United Kingdom. A record previously held by Dido with No Rent.Boyles album was also the best selling album in the first week. That record was held by the Arctic Monkeys.

With the release of I Dreamed A Dream was the singer 48 years. This makes it the oldest artist ever to win the number one position was able to reach a debut album. Boyle grabs the title from Jane McDonald, who in 1998 at the age of 35 performed.

“I always read that book when I was a little girl. I never ever dreamed I would end up in the book,” says Boyle. “This is really fantastic”.
