Stone Temple Pilots – Between the lines
Fans of Stone Temple Pilots were waiting for this moment, nine years after the personal problems of Scott Weiland, the many alternative projects of the various group members, separation and finally the reunion dated 2008, is in fact just outside the publication of a new disc of unreleased for U.S. band.
Does something to read statements in which members of a group started from grunge and rock arena for the past speak of universal love and want to convey a sense of joy that permeates their current situation.
No coincidence that this new work talking about sounds that recall the Beatles (reference well received and confirmed by the same STP), even the cover choice leads immediately to the concepts of peace and oriental disciplines. All you need is love, after all.
Worth mentioning the author of Artwork, namely the artist Shepard Fairey that has stood out as the posters warholeschi on the face of Barack Obama and the now famous Hope written.
The couple adopted to pave the way for Stone Temple Pilots (simple and spontaneous, the choice of the title, apparently) is Between the lines, the opening track on the disc.
Some are obvious steps that need inspiration to cockroach, but it would be simplistic to stop this and not take note of a clean, well-chiseled rock, although certainly less rebel of yore.
There will inevitably schisms of old fans and enlargements of sympathy on the part of lovers of music less angry, but in the midst of all this is still a pleasure to welcome back on stage for a band that should not be forgotten, was able to sell forty million records.
