Rihanna scores first film role in “Battleship”
Rihanna puts her first steps soon on the silver screen. The 22-year-old singer has a role in ‘Battleship’ problems. The film should premiere in May 2012 in the United States, writes film magazine Variety.
“Battleship” is based on the ancient board game Battleship. In the film, directed by Peter Berg, the world is threatened by aliens. Actor Taylor Kitsch plays a naval officer who struggle for the survival of the earth. Alexander Skarsgard plays his brother. What role Rihanna accounting for, is not yet known.
The recordings for “Battleship” will be launched this year. Universal film studio hopes the film will premiere on May 25, 2012 to let go. When Rihanna’s debut film shown in the Netherlands is not yet known.
