Washed Out – Paracosm: at some point will have to get up from the chair

If a word suggests the music of Washed Out, that’s “immersion”. For several reasons, firstly because it evokes the idea of water that is permanently present (the beach environment, the issues, rather than advance, flow) and secondly because it seems that the intention of Ernest Greene, thinking mind behind this project, is to literally dive into his music, hitting the head under the water and get carried away. That was Within and Without (Sub Pop, 2011) and so is this Paracosm.

The second album comes two years after the considerable success of the first that came to be something like the spearhead of chillwave, one of those tags absurd something is not clear if they really mean anything or not.

Washed Out - Paracosm

As often happens in these cases, he the fact that a small group of artists began to do the same at the same time (not anything too innovative: lo-fi electronic pop and a touch shoegaze usually recorded on a shoestring in his own houses) and the term stuck. [...]

Expected at the turn, the singer has set up a communication plan in reinforced concrete, based especially on bare pictures revealed on the net, talk to it and stir the interest of fans.

Lady Gaga

But a small grain of sand came curb well-oiled mechanical Lady Gaga: hackers. Mavens of piracy have indeed managed to get their hands on some songs by American singer. After unveiling the canvas Burqa, they have posted a few days ago and extract of Applause, the first single from ‘Artpop. Faced with this leak, the singer has made no secret at first anger, saying such a post posted on Twitter: “Lord, but you could not expect it too is a Saturday more?” [...]

Coma Cinema – Posthumous Release: elegance to the service of emotion

There are details which define discs. In Posthumous Release, the latest album from Coma Cinema, one of the nicknames under which hides Mathew Lee Cothran, there are several, but none condenses emotionally charged as the sigh that opens ‘Partners In Crime’.

This is a short breath, imperceptible and seemingly irrelevant, that gives way to a chord progression and laments laconic verbal Cothran, broken and affected voice. Listened carefully enough, the sigh confesses as much as all the songs together. It is so true that shakes. There is a hint of deception, everything in it is honest, and it sounds so torn and ragged like the rest of the song. It appears that both Citing sings between sobs.

Coma Cinema - Posthumous Release

Posthumous Release is an exercise in emotional introspection, like many others saddened allegations in history, turns into bright personal honesty. I do not know why is that such a degree of inspiration, always sad and dragged, Mathew Lee Cothran: up this album I had never approached its various projects, whether in Coma Cinema, Elvys Depressedly or Gremlins. The ‘hip hop’ rises another step

Kanye West and Jay Z simultaneously presented in two albums that are revolutionizing the genre. They got the music industry in their hands. And they know: they are money making machines. So do not fear experiments. Jay Z and Kanye West have permeated the business with advanced visions.

The first looks today more like a mix of John Coltrane and Bebo Valdes, thoughtful, sophisticated, sitting at the piano in his study. And his presence in the entertainment business, in that company that has risen with his wife Beyonce, has ranked among the most influential in the world, according to Time magazine. On the cover of Magna Carta … Holy Grail, his new album, sit two Renaissance statues, portrayed in black and white, as a centennial arts cult that remain eternal in the sun.

Kanye West

West, meanwhile, presents on his album alter ego Yeezus, more futuristic version of himself. The artists go beyond the rappers that came with voluptuous women portrayed. Express the impulse to explore experiment and take hip hop to another level. [...]

Maschine – Rubidium: Young prog-rockers but not inexperienced

Maschine is the penultimate prog-rock hype discovered by InsideOut Music, a label specializing in progressive. Rubidium, which is their first album, we have here and are very noticeable. Training is a Brighton-based English and elements very young but by no means inexperienced, as both their leader, Luke Machin (guitar and vocals), and Daniel Mash (bass and vocals) have fought for three years at The Tangent, an institution within the international prog rock.

Rubidium has seven subjects, nine in the limited edition digipack, and seventy minutes fully enjoy it with all the nods of the prog: passages rid to base of keyboards such as ‘The Fallen’, disarming riffs on ‘Come’, voices tashion broadens, here with the peculiarity that there is a female voice, that of the keyboardist Georgia Lewis, instrumentals details as those at the beginning of ‘Cubixstro’ that refer to territories or Latinos in their final to jazz and show us that we are not faced with a few imitators of the major reference points in this genus, changes of rhythm, tempo and intensity or epic moments such as ‘rubidium’, a topic that is the title of this debut.

Maschine - Rubidium

We notice that Luke Machin and his colleagues have heard Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, Marillion or classic Genesis or Yes, but all that sediment has been the basis for a unique style, yet define and shore. There is background music for a little neglect you’ve missed a detail, texture or tint, instrumental or vocal. Maschine approach the hard rock ‘Come’, a song crippling a deeper voice and torn to live it sure is a hoot because half is cut with the female choir to come back another hundred percent tessitura dev. Siriusmo – Enthusiast: the lack of cohesion and ideas continue to burden their music

The German Siriusmo has returned to release a new album Monkeytown, Enthusiast. After a little more than proper debut, far from perfect their technique, the German has fallen into the same vices, in the crossfire of multiple electronic tags now trying to govern the growing trends in the genre. The result is a hodgepodge bland and tasteless.

Enthusiast, step back in their career

Mosaik, the debut of Siriusmo, was not particularly big deal, despite trying to combine moderate electro sounds and a hint wonky, it was bearable. There was some consistency, not too much, and placid melodies that represented a good plan to spend the afternoon. Even so, incurred the same error that the disk has fallen this year, trying to cover too many artistic facets, which need not be bad, but not quite jell with the way it runs.

Siriusmo - Enthusiast

In fact, Enthusiast suffers from the same problems as its predecessor: a hard little cohesive, with ditties sympathetic and full of clich├ęs that reach no more. Suddenly it asks out to the dance floor with funk synth quite simple, and then it approaches with an electro house approaching the worst version of Boys Noize. Despite the loose disc, there is a passage in which to rest a few minutes flying in the orbit of the most luminous synths Siriusmo, when more effective results. [...]
