Locomia Biography

It was a Spanish group formed in the beginning by Xavier Font, Luis Font, Manuel Arjona and Gard Passchier, subsequently incorporating Carlos Armas, Juan Antonio Fuentes, Francesc Picas and Santos Blanco.

It became very famous thanks to the management of the fans that complemented rather elaborate costumes.

In 1992 they separated but evolved into a new group with new members, similar to the Puerto Rican group Menudo. A year later reappear on the music scene, but getting no event be or at least, dissolve completely.


When they were at their highest peak of success, there are large differences with his manager, Jose Luis Gil, who files suit over ownership of the mark Loco Mia. Xavier Font and Luis Balaguer decide to bear the legal dispute, but the demand made it impossible for them as a group, leading the group in 1993 put an end to his career and each member decides to continue its path independently.

The separation of Loco Mia is used by Gil to create another formation, composed of Luis Font, Frank Romero, Pablo Antonio Albella and Robledo, who recorded a new LP called Party Time. This new concept is not convincing to the fans, so much so that tips them multiple attacks. Years later, the lawsuit is resolved in favor of Xavier Font, and members of their current contract is terminated, then going with more pain than glory to musical history.

The proceedings of Loco Mia II were minimal, to participate in a disc with the Spanish singer Polo Encarnita entitled they stop crying. Frank Romero left the group and was replaced by San Balibrea. His farewell concert was in the Madrid Amusement Park.
