James Morrison : Songs For You, Truth For Me
The second album by British singer and songwriter James Morrison, “Songs For You, Truth For Me”, comes up with a whole lot of heartache and emotion. Since it is more than fitting that his single “You Make It Real” is one of a few months ago as the title music to show the great plums Kai feelings “Only Love” ran.
But just at Christmas time or during the festive season is just want to listen to this music to people. With his distinctive, emotional voice, he brings over exactly what he would say with his songs. As goose bumps are inevitable.
Especially through his soulful, slightly rough timbre and the fact that his songs are so emotional and rooted mainly in the folk, his music is so well received by the people.
Even his opener “The Only Night” illustrates this very well. His voice accompanied by subtle soul horns, a Hammond organ and a wonderfully played folk-rock piano. The song “You Make It Real” and “Nothing Ever Hurt Like You” through the balance of the harmonic strings and the breathtaking voice Morrisons at no time cheesy or overdone. Rather, they are totally to die for.
This Deluxe Edition comes with two CDs even so. The second CD has seven selected favorite songs of the last two albums are. It also contains a unique interpretation of the Michael Jackson song “Men In The Mirror”.
