Gocho: A music producer who sings
If you heard “Torture”, the song that Shakira recorded with Alejandro Sanz, or the remix that Paulina Rubio presented for the song “I like both”, and then you know some of the work of Gocho.
But these days you hear the theme “To tell you the truth” because you know his work as a singer. Jose Angel “Gocho” Torres knows what it is to work for other artists in a recording studio and it is up to a stage to sing to the public.
After several years as a music producer, the Puerto Rican 29 years promoting the second single from her debut album titled My Music. It is “To tell you the truth”, which recently launched a remix in participating Wisin and which is available on iTunes.
“To tell you the truth ‘has two remix versions before, a pop and urban mambo. It’s that time when you get separated from your partner and then realize that you really need and ask for a new opportunity”, he explains.
It was very difficult for Gocho not a musician. His grandfather was part of Hispanics, a quartet that was popular in Puerto Rico and her aunt is backup singer Luis Fonsi and Ednita Nazario. It counts that to the 8 or 9 years made the theme “Feels the love” for Olga Tanon.
“He had time flirting with the idea of singing. Now I’m in a different stage, on camera, dealing with the public. First I was sharing the stage with Angel and Khriz and went dropping. I’m learning, I have a lot to go”, he says.
Gocho promoted before the theme “Giving”, which although has a mischievous tone, with “To tell you the truth” makes clear that you can create other compositions.
