Alicia Keys – Un-thinkable (I’m Ready)
Another piece of The Element Of Freedom, the last successful album of Alicia Keys, entered the charts. With a last-minute turnabout, the singer chose New York to play the card Put It In A Love Song, played in a remarkable duet with Beyonce, the summer release it now instead of replacing Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart (seen that Italy has not been inexplicably promoted Empire State Of Mind Part II, third single in the States).
The choice then fell on another piece performed in pairs, this time along with Drake, the young star of hip hop that learned about the many views that the hit was the protagonist in the last year, adding those he interpreted the other in which it appears in the role of host.
Un-thinkable in (I’m Ready), the name of the piece, the role of the singer-actor, however, is rather marginal, since its performance is limited to some vocals that shift significantly the balance.
Speaking of Un-thinkable, it’s pretty indisputable that this is one of the most blatantly sentimental songs of the Keys, which seems to undertake a ballatona halfway between pop and R & B along the lines of many successes signed Mariah Carey. Addressed to a mostly female audience or at least to accommodate buckets of romance, the song still trpva way to be appreciated for building an intelligent instrument-based plan and the usual exceptional performance singing.
